- 1 Onion, chopped
- 7 Garlic Cloves, Finely chopped
- A tsp of Grated Ginger
- 1 Green Chilli, Finely chopped
- 1 Small Tomato, Puree
- 1 Cup Cabbage, Shredded
- 1 Carrot, Chopped
- 1/2 cup Green Beans, Chopped
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup of Green Peas, Coarsely chopped
- 1 tbsp of Oil
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Fresh Mint leaves, Finely chopped
- 1 tsp of Lemon Juice
Method To Prepare
1.Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan.
2.Add finely chopped onion, garlic, ginger and chilli.Saute for 2 minutes on a low flame.
3.Pour 6 cups of water into the pan and bring it to a boil.Add carrot, peas, cabbage, beans and salt.Cover the pan with a lid and allow the vegetables to cook for 15 minutes on a low flame.
4.Once the vegetables have turned soft, add the tomato puree and cook for another 10 minutes.
5.Finally add 1 tsp of cornstarch diluted with a little bit of water.Simmer for about 3 minutes or until the soup has slightly thickened.
6.Serve in a soup bowl and season with a pinch of black pepper, dash of lemon juice and chopped mint leaves.
7.Your delicious fat-burning cabbage soup is ready to eat.
