Here are the step by step procedures on how to do a papaya facial at home.
1.Cleanse and Steam your Face
Duration – 2 minutes
The first step is to completely cleanse your face to get rid of grime, excess oil and impurities from the surface of the skin.To start, moisten a cotton ball using rose water and gently wipe your face and neck.Rose water gently cleanses, purifies and tones the skin.Once you have done with your cleansing process the next step is to prepare your skin for a steam.Steaming gently opens up your pores and makes your skin soft and easy for exfoliation.Take a half-filled water container and gently bring it to a boil.Remove it from the stove and immediately drape a towel to steam your face for a maximum 2 minutes.Alternatively, you can steam your face using a towel soak in warm water and then drape it over your face.
2.Exfoliate your Skin with Papaya Face Scrub
Duration – 3 minutes
Ingredients – Papaya paste, Rice powder, Sugar and Honey
In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp of papaya paste, 1 tbsp of rice powder, 1 tbsp of granulated sugar and 2 tbsp of honey.Take small amount of this mixture on your fingertips and gently scrub on your wet face for about 3 minutes.Target mostly to the t-zone areas to remove blackheads and whiteheads.Rinse with cool water.This papaya scrub polishes your skin without drying it, pull impurities from the pores and makes skin smooth and supple.The alpha-hydroxy acids in papaya rejuvenates and brightens your rough, dull skin.
3.Rejuvenate your Skin with Homemade Papaya Massage Cream
Duration – 10 minutes
Ingredients – Papaya paste, Butter, Lemon juice and Honey
To prepare the homemade papaya facial massage cream, you need 2 tbsp of papaya paste, 2 tbsp of melted butter, 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 1 tbsp of honey.Mix well and gently massage onto your wet face.To make your skin more smoother and glowing, wet your fingertips in cold milk and gently massage onto your face and neck.Massage with
upward strokes in circular motion for 10 minutes.Rinse with cool water.This papaya massage cream easily absorbs into your skin and smoothes wrinkles and fine lines.It gives your tired and rough skin a super soft and glowing effect.It also accelerates skin’s natural collagen and revive’s skin resilience.
Tip – Oily skin use glycerin instead of butter.
4.Glow your Skin with Papaya Face Mask
Duration – 15 minutes
Ingredients – Papaya paste, Milk cream, Besan powder and Multani Mitti(Fuller’s Earth).
Create a facial mask by combining 2 tbsp of papaya paste, 1 tbsp of besan powder, 1 tbsp of multani mitti and 2 tbsp of fresh milk cream.Mix well and apply on your face and neck in upward direction.Leave for 15 minutes and then rinse using cool water.This is a perfect face pack for those with sun damaged, dry, dull and aging skin.It purifies and nourishes your skin, dissolve dull surface cells, adds natural brightness and glow to the skin.
Tip – Oily skin use rose water instead of milk cream.
5.Hydrate and Moisturize your Skin
A facial is incomplete without ice massage.To add more freshness and radiance to your skin, rub 2 to 3 ice cubes after you have ended up with your face mask.Gently, pat your face dry with a soft towel.Finally, finish off with a layer of soothing moisturizer.
