Ingredients You Need:

  • 2 large ripe mangoes (for puree)
  • 1/2 cup chopped mango pieces (optional, for texture)
  • 1 cup full-fat milk
  • 10-12 soft dates (pitted)
  • 2 tbsp honey (or to taste)

Method:

1.Prepare the Date Paste:

  • Soak dates in warm milk for 10-15 minutes.
  • Blend the dates and milk into a smooth paste. This will be our natural sweetener.

2.Make Mango Puree:

  • Peel and dice the mangoes.
  • Blend them into a smooth puree.

3. Prepare the Mix:

  • In a bowl, mix the mango puree, date paste, and honey. Adjust sweetness as per taste.

4. Set :

  • In a small glass dish, pour a layer of the mango mixture.
  • Add a layer of chopped mango pieces.
  • Repeat the layers until you fill the mold.
  • Tap the mold gently to remove air bubbles.

5. Chill:

  • Cover with cling film or a lid.
  • Freeze for 6-8 hours (or overnight) until firm.

6. Scoop & Serve:

  • Let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly.
  • Scoop and serve like ice cream!
  • Garnish with mango pieces or a drizzle of honey, if desired.
