- 2 tbsp olive oil – deeply moisturizing and antioxidant-rich
- 1 tbsp coconut oil – softens and protects skin
- 3 tbsp rice water – brightens skin and adds anti-aging compounds like inositol
- 1 tbsp vitamin E oil – boosts healing, improves texture, and prolongs shelf life
- 1 tsp cornstarch – helps emulsify and thicken, gives a smooth, non-greasy feel
How to Make Rice Water:
- Rinse 1/4 cup of rice.
- Soak in 1/2 cup warm water for 30 minutes (or boil it, then strain).
- Cool and strain, use the liquid as your rice water.
- In a small saucepan or double boiler, melt the coconut oil gently.
- Add the olive oil and vitamin E oil, stir well.
- In a separate bowl, mix rice water + cornstarch until smooth (no lumps).
- Slowly add the starch mixture to the oil blend while whisking constantly.
- Heat gently and whisk until the mixture thickens into a creamy texture.
- Let it cool and pour into a small sterilized jar.
